Roscoe “Poppy” Spaulding Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roscoe “Poppy” Spaulding 76, of Stepptown, West Virginia passed away at his home on Friday, July 22, 2022. He was born in Wayne County, WV on August 27, 1945 to the late Lonnie and Mae Marcum Spaulding. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two grandsons, Kyler and Wilder Ross Holyfield and siblings, LuCretia Spaulding, Cleo Spaulding, Rebecca Ann and Ira Messer, Sherman and Lula Spaulding, Alonzo and Delores Spaulding and Jackie Dell Spaulding. Roscoe is survived by his loving wife, Jacalyn Marcum Spaulding, three children, Roscoe (Sara) Spaulding Jr. of Ashland, KY, Whitney (Jamie) Copley of Stepptown, WV and Ashlee (Jason) Holyfield of Lenore, WV; seven grandchildren, Channing (Kabrina) Spaulding, Trevor Copley, Trenton Copley, Jake Copley, Kendal Holyfield, Karrigan Holyfield and Tanner Holyfield and two great grandchildren, Rayanna Spaulding and Greeley Spaulding. He is also survived by his siblings, Wallace (Sue) Spaulding, Alex (Judy) Spaulding and Jesse (Lushie) Spaulding all of Old Fork, Crum, WV and Pollie Mae (Loy) Dunnigan of Mount Gilead, OH, special niece, April Lynn Spaulding; along with a host of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, KY with Bruce Justice officiating. burial will follow at the Spaulding Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00-9:00pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
