Argue Preece Preston 93, of Inez, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 5, 2021. She was born in Job, KY on February 4, 1928 to the late John Preece and Lorna Endicott Blackburn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Preston; a special aunt, Lily Endicott Copley; sister, Lou Preece; brother, Carlos Preece and one grandchild, Jackie Brian Haney. Argue was a lady of great talent. She was a great seamstress; making dresses for her daughters and family members, suites for grandsons, quilts, and covering furniture. She was a wonderful artist, an unbelievable Gardner and a cook that could master any dish. Most of all she loved her family; her face would glow when she saw her children, grandchildren and their children. Argue is survived by her children, Everett K. (Martha) Preston of Louisa, KY, Greg P. Preston, Lois J. Preston both of Inez, KY and Debra K. (Terry) Youngman of Dandridge, TN; 6 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, Bill (Emily) Preece of Ruidoso, NM, John (Terri) Preece of Grove City, OH and Nell Dean (Ed) Preece Savage of Galloway, OH. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Callaham Funeral Home in Inez, KY. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, KY. Friends may visit at the funeral home starting at 11:00am on Sunday. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice in Ashland, KY. Everyone in attendance is required to wear a facemask and practice social distancing per CDC guidelines. Arrangements are under the direction of the Callaham Funeral Home, Inez, KY.
